Toddler's Fracture

Benson is a very active boy. He is always climbing and jumping on things. Which I guess made this inevitable. He jumped off of his dresser in his room one morning and wasn't able to put weight on his right leg. A visit to the doctor's office confirmed it was broken. It is something called a Toddler's Fracture which is a spiral break. He was really brave through x-rays.

The doctor put him in a splint for 2 weeks. Luckily we can take it  off for baths. As soon as we left the doctor's office we went to Target to buy a bunch of sweats and two different sizes of socks. Benson is still getting around by rolling, crawling, and scooting.

He is pretty inventive and doesn't seem to mind his new method of locomotion. Maybe when he is all better you will use the splint occasionally just to slow him down!
