Weekend at Midway

We were able to spend our 24th of July weekend in Miday, Utah with Kevin's family. His mom has a timeshare and she was kind enough to share with everyone. We had everyone in the family with us but Meg and Dave. They were at Comic-Con and they made it onto Entertainment Weekly for their cool costumes. Here are some highlights from our trip.

After the flood we headed up for 5 days of fun. We hit the outlet mall the first day. I must say they feel more like regular stores than outlet stores. My mom spent the night with us and we took Benson swimming. We had to stop and buy outlet covers because Benson tried repeatedly to stick his fingers in each one. Note to self. Pack outlet covers for future vacations. We cleared out a cupboard for Benson to play in because he would not stop opening them. I wish they made removable door locks.

Saturday we went boating thanks to Dawson and his parents.  We set up camp at Deer Creek Reservoir. I tried wake boarding. Never did make it up. Got the bruises to prove that I at least tried. Benson as usual wanted to eat the sand. He did seem to enjoy his 2nd boat ride more than his first. After boating the whole family met in the pool for a quick swim before dinner. Dinner was at a pizza place which shall remain nameless. Let's just say the food wasn't worth the 3 hours it took. We were seated right away...

Sunday we attened church which felt more like Stake Conference because there were so many people there. It must be weird growing up in a tourist town. We also took a sight seeing drive up a dirt road just to see how far we could go. The best part of the weekend was Benson and Ethan. Ethan is Benson's cousin and they were inseparable the whole time. Even though there is an 8 year age gap they had the best time playing together. Brianna was also nearby to join in the fun.

Monday we headed home. On the way we stopped at the cheese factory to return the bottle that Kevin's raw milk came in. Yes, I said raw milk, as in straight from the cow. Luckily he didn't die. We also stopped at Memorial Hill which is  a war memorial for people who served from Midway and the surrounding areas. Thanks Mama G for sharing your weekend with us!

I'm so glad you posted some pictures of our Midway trip. It really was a lot of fun and I'm so glad your family was able to share a few days with me. Benson is so adorable and it was fun to have the 3 cousins together for an extended period of time. xoxo
