For part of this years and last years Christmas we received a trip to California with Kevin's family. We flew out the day after Christmas. It was my second trip on an airplane. I don't get out much. We flew out of the gray snowy day into sunshine!
We started our trip to California with a stop at Universal Studios.
The day started out with pretty nice weather and we were excited to start our whirlwind journey through 4 theme parks. We went on the studio tour and saw Wisteria Lane (all of you Desperate Housewives fans know what I am talking about) and King Kong.
We also made a stop at the Kwik-E-Mart.
As the day went on the wind really picked up and it got really cold. The wind was blowing so hard they started closing down the park early! We didn't get to go on the two rides we actually wanted to go on. Oh well. While going up the mountain side on a series of 5 escalators the top one was closed because the signs above it where flinging wildly around and breaking the lights. Beware of flying glass! We were a little bummed and really tired by the time we drove to the condo at Seaside. Day 1 down, 6 more to go.
